This document is the Federal W-4 Form, officially titled “Employee’s Withholding Certificate” and issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Purpose of the Form:
The W-4 form allows employees to tell their employer how much federal income tax to withhold from their paychecks. Accurate withholding helps ensure you don't owe a large tax bill or overpay and receive a large refund at tax time.
Note for Employees:
If you wish to update your W-4 information, submit the completed form to the District Office by the 10th of the month to ensure changes are included in that month's pay cycle.
