KSD COLOR STAGE: Rachel Cluff (District Nurse) joined the conversation to report on the COVID data and present the Nurse’s Report. Eighteen students were presumed positive this week, this was between eleven different families across the district. Roughly thirty students are currently receiving online schooling, which is down considerably from prior to holiday break. Attendance was average for the last week, with no noticeable spikes. Overall county infection rate is currently at 4.9%.

Mr. Melvin mentioned wanting to start the discussion regarding returning students to five-day instruction. The board decided to table this discussion for a later date. Mr. Melvin moved to approve all schools remaining in Green for the next two weeks, Mr. Allen seconded. The motion carried 5-0.

EXTENSION OF FFCRA: Mr. Schroeder explained that the FFCRA benefits expired 12/31/21 and that the latest stimulus package did not extend the FFCRA benefits. Mr. Schroeder’s recommendation to board: Extend FFCRA 80 hours, or equivalent (not including the 2/3 pay for childcare purposes) for those employees that have not utilized FFCRA in the past 6 months, and until a vaccine becomes readily available to educators. Mr. Melvin moved to approve the extension on the FFCRA as discussed, Mr. Giles seconded. 5-0.

ATHLETIC PLAN FOR STAGE 2: The Governor released an updated a high school athletic plan for Stage
