Welcome Back Students! I am so excited to see you again. This year brings changes to your library at KMS. Typically you return to school with hundreds of new and exciting books to discover and explore; however, with all of the uncertainties that remain, I have not yet placed a new book order! This is where I need your help! I want to know what you are excited to read!!! Please complete the survey below and I will do my best to order it. The survey will be open until Thursday, September 3rd. Teachers and parents are welcome to take the survey too! I want your library to be the most visited room at KMS.

Policies for checking out books: Students are allowed two books to be checked out at a time. They are due back four weeks from the date of checkout, not including holidays or weekends. If school shuts down again, books will be due on the first day of yellow or green, with no penalty. Fines will only accumulate if books are not returned when the color status changes and students are allowed to return in small groups to the library. Students are not allowed to check out books with previous fines; however, all fines from last year have been removed. The only fines that you may have on your account is from damage to books, or for books still not returned. In addtion, fines will start to accumulate after Labor Day for books that are still missing from last spring.
The following are still options for you to gain access to electronic reading sources:
Kimberly Public Library has several online e-book resources and links. Check it out! Kimberly Public Library
Twin Falls Public Library has provided the availability to download e-books through an app called OverDrive. If you don't have a TFPL library card, you can easily acquire one through their website. Once you have a library card, you can then access hundreds of books through OverDrive. Again, make sure to have someone helping you that is 13 years or older to do this. Twin Falls Public Liibrary
Tumble Books is another great resource. Lots of picture books can be accessed here and they are working to add more and more chapter books as well. Tumble Books
Get Epic is another popular place to go. Epic
Open Library is a really great resource. It's like a wiki for books. Students, you will definitely need help with this one. You will be required to make a user name and password. I do not recommend going to this site until you can get some help with navigating this one. Open Library
Scholastic Learn at Home contains day to day projects to keep kids reading, thinking and learning. This isn't necessarily a way to checkout e-books, but a fun resource if you run out of things to do and need some ideas! Scholastic Learn at Home
