Update:
Ren Place has a new option for e-reading called MyON. This platform allows students to read online books and take AR tests. The drawback is that the options are limited to non-trade books (or books that you wouldn't see on the shelf at Barnes and Noble). However, it is worth a look if you are in need of more resources. To access: Sign in to Ren Place as usual, from the Kimberly homepage, then click the MyON portal.
AR will now be available! To take an AR test from home, have your parents email Mrs. Mumm, Mrs. Mathews, or Mrs. Olsen. These points will not be counted toward anything, but the tests are for you and your parents to monitor comprehension. This is NOT a requirement.
More ebooks: Junior Library Guild has opened up some of their ebooks for you to read. These are popular books that are current and trendy. https://www.juniorlibraryguild.com/jlgdigital-free?utm_term=juniorlibraryguild.com%2Fjlgdigital-free&utm_campaign=*New*%20FREE%20books%20added%20to%20JLG%20Digital&utm_content=email&utm_source=Act-On+Software&utm_medium=email
A note from Mrs. Slagel:
Hello students and parents! During this time, we will not be able to checkout books from our library; however, we have some great resources available online. Please feel free to look at each link and explore the amazing reading opportunities you have from home. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to email me mslagel@kimberly.edu. I can't wait to get back and talk to all of you about your journeys in reading. In addition, the library books you have are NOT overdue, I am simply asking that you bring them back as soon as school is open again. Thank you!

Kimberly Public Library has several online e-book resources and links. Check it out! Kimberly Public Library
Twin Falls Public Library has provided the availability to download e-books through an app called OverDrive. If you don't have a TFPL library card, you can easily acquire one through their website. Once you have a library card, you can then access hundreds of books through OverDrive. Again, make sure to have someone helping you that is 13 years or older to do this. Twin Falls Public Liibrary
Tumble Books is another great resource. Lots of picture books can be accessed here and they are working to add more and more chapter books as well. Tumble Books
Get Epic is another popular place to go. Epic
Open Library is a really great resource. It's like a wiki for books. Students, you will definitely need help with this one. You will be required to make a user name and password. I do not recommend going to this site until you can get some help with navigating this one. Open Library
Scholastic Learn at Home contains day to day projects to keep kids reading, thinking and learning. This isn't necessarily a way to checkout e-books, but a fun resource if you run out of things to do and need some ideas! Scholastic Learn at Home
