Science

Hello! I am the science department chair at Kimberly High School. I teach General Biology and Pre-Med: Human Biology and also coach KMS Track & Field. I hold a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University-Idaho and an M.S. in Human Biology from Liberty University Online.

I believe that science education, especially biology, should be hands-on, engaging, and deeply connected to the real world. My goal is to help students move beyond memorizing facts to actually applying their knowledge in meaningful ways. Biology isn’t just a box to check—it’s a subject that helps us understand life itself. Whether through labs, projects, or real-world scenarios, I strive to create learning experiences that spark curiosity, build critical thinking skills, and show students the relevance of biology in their everyday lives.

Outside of school, I enjoy running, archery, hunting, fishing, and hiking. I also love spending time with my family—whether it’s wrestling with my kids or winding down with a good book.
