Meet the PrincipalMatt Schvaneveldt Welcome Back to a New School YearWith each new school year, many changes occur such as a new class of students, a new grade level, or, in my case, a new school. I am excited to be joining the staff at Kimberly Middle School, and I look forward to the opportunity to be part of a well-respected, hard-working team of educators. My name is Matt Schvaneveldt and I have lived, taught, and coached in rural farming Idaho my whole life and am thrilled at this new opportunity to be part of this great school district. I have been blessed with a very supportive family consisting of my wife Emily and children Sydney (12), Carson (10), and Alivia (6). As a family, we enjoy spending time together usually outside or at sporting events. My summer days are spent golfing or on the lake wakeboarding and skiing while during the winter months you’ll find us snowboarding on the mountain. If you throw in the different community sporting activities my kids are involved in, it makes for a full schedule. I would like to extend a warm welcome to a new school year. The staff and I are looking forward to working with you and your children. We will strive to continue to provide exciting and rewarding educational programs for each and every child in the Kimberly Middle School. Our school is a place where everyone is someone special, and it is organized and designed to enable teachers to teach and students to learn. Thank you, parents, for all your help and support in getting your students off on the right track to a great new school year. We look forward to your continued involvement in your child’s education and your participation in school events throughout the coming year. Our goal is to strengthen the home-school relationship by building a strong partnership with parents. Parents have an open invitation to volunteer, to participate in activities, and to share in the setting and the achievement of our school’s goals and our students' success.
