Fairness is not only treating people equally but giving everyone their fair share. The reason I say that is that if a group of people have to do an assignment and only two of them do work on it then the others shouldn't get any credit for it. That is one form of being fair another is if everyone does the same amount of work it should be spread out equally not more to one person or another. Fairness is one of the hardest of characteristics to define because it has so many different meanings. But one thing is for sure deep in everyone's hearts they know what is fair and what isn't.
