- NEW IDAHO REQUIREMENTS -
Whenever children are brought into group settings, there is a potential for the spread of infectious diseases. To help protect your children and others from whooping cough (pertussis) and meningitis, Idaho law requires students entering 7thgrade to have proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster shot (Tdap) and meningococcal shot before starting school.
By law, students who do not have proof of receiving a Tdap booster and meningococcal shot will not be able to start school until proof is provided to the school (please note: the tetanus-diphtheria booster shot, Td, will not meet the requirement).
