Dear Parents and Friends,
We are nearly half-way through the school year. We have had a great school year so far. We currently have 735 students enrolled in grades K-5.
Our first semester ends on the 19th of January and our teachers will be spending January 20th working on report cards, preparing for Parent/Teacher conferences and becoming familiar with some new requirements of the Students Come First legislation.
Parent/Teacher conferences for all elementary school students will be during the week of January 30th. Information regarding your child's conference will be coming home in the very near future. This is an exciting time for our staff to let you know about the progress that your child is making here at Kimberly Elementary.
The remainder of the school year will continue to be filled with various activities at each grade level. You will have the opportunity to participate in many of these activities with your child. April and May will once again be a time when we administer our state assessments. We are working to provide your child with the skills necessary for them to do their very best.
We will continue to inform you of activities and events that will taking place at KES. A calendar of events and lunch menus will be sent home at the beginning of each month. This can also be found at the Kimberly Schools web site www.kimberly.edu. We encourage you to check this web site often for information. We also have a telephone calling system that we use to inform you of activities and events as well.
Should your child need to be absent from school, please contact the school office.
We look forward to the remainder of the year. If you have any questions or concerns during the year, please contact your child’s teacher or the school office.
Sincerely,
Craig Maki
KES Principal
