Bulldog Class of 2018 | Kimberly

The first Senior Parent meeting will be Thurs., Nov 9th from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in Room 119.  We will be discussing what’s to come this year, the Senior trip, the Senior Overnighter, and graduation decorations.  After the parent meeting, there will be a FAFSA workshop in the computer lab (room 102) from 7pm-8:00pm hosted by Sharee Hamilton, LPC.

Please review the website, https://fafsa.ed.gov/.  You may begin completing the FAFSA on Oct 1, 2017 for the 2018-19 school year.  Also, you will be using your 2016 tax returns. Please be sure that you are on the correct website.  This application is free.  Seniors and parents will need to create a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) at fsaid.ed.gov before starting the FAFSA application.  Even if you do not believe you will qualify, please consider applying because many scholarships require completion of the FAFSA before consideration.

KHS will be participating in College Application Week Nov. 6- Nov. 10.  Seniors will be filling out at least one college application starting on Nov. 6th. Do not forget that you will need your Social Security Number when you are filling out college applications if you plan to receive any type of aid from the school.  Please visit Next Steps Idaho to learn more about applying.  You may also start applying on October 1st should you wish.   fill out the “College Application Information Sheet for Students” before Nov. 6th and bring the form to school so you can fill out your college application.
