Kimberly School District Professional Development
KSD 3 year PD Plan
Vision: All professional development will be researched-based and work to foster both an ethic of excellence and a growth mindset. The design of professional development will seek to draw upon existing “Funds of Knowledge”, or strengths that teachers and administrators already bring to the culture. The professional development will be authentic and meaningful for teachers, embedded in classroom practice.
Setting: Professional Development will be take place in a variety of contexts and formats across the district.
District Wide Expectations:
Teacher lesson/unit plans, instruction, and assessments are aligned to Idaho Core and Idaho Content Standards.
Teachers will improve practice as described in the Danielson Framework
Student achievement will increase as a result of professional development

The Kimberly Core Teacher Team is a group of teachers that is committed to professional growth. These teachers participate in long-term professional development in which they develop their craft through reflection, study, application, and leadership.
Some of our teachers work a parallel program with the State Department of Education, The Idaho Coaching Network
Kimberly Core Five Team
This program is tailored for teachers in their first five years of teaching and focuses on classroom envirornment and instruction.
The Kimberly Differentiation Team is a group of teachers that is committed to professional growth. Though this program is different from the Kimberly Core Teacher Team, the two programs work in harmony.
