Principal's Message | Kimberly

As the cooler days introduce us to the next season, we too have much to celebrate. I am happy to report that the new teachers that have joined us in recent months have been doing a tremendous job teaching and nurturing students, and have been able to fully integrate themselves with the KES staff and students. The students too, newly mixed in this year's placements, have created with their teachers effective learning communities and found new friendships over the course of the last six weeks.

One of the more visible additions to the school has been the installation of our new playground and redesign of our playground to make “PlayWork” for all students. I would like to thank the PTSO, and the Janice Seagraves Family foundation for making this possible for us!

In addition to the teaching and learning that is happening in the classrooms, the students and their teachers have also been busy lately with formative assessments. In the process of teaching and learning, it is vital for us to be able to identify specific strengths and needs among our students.

We are all looking forward to the traditional festivities that color this season with Harvest Parties to be held at the end of the month. Again, a huge thanks goes to all parents for their support of these events!
